An independent voluntary organisation working to promote good mental health for everyone living in the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland areas.

They specialise in providing mental health advocacy and development of local services for those suffering with mental health problems.

A local charity providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers.

Help The Homeless Leicester

Tackles Homelessness in Leicester/Leicestershire on a 360 degree basis. They feed, clothe, assist and advocate housing for the homeless and rough sleepers community on our cities streets.

Help The Homeless Leicester aim to be able to run sessions to help equip and enrich the lives of the service users, from budgeting and cooking to CV writing, all skills that are needed to encourage the maintenance of social reintegration once appropriate accommodation is sourced.

Helping Hands Community Trust

Provides free, pro bono, advice service dealing with all aspects of family law to the local community in Leicester.

Helping Hands Community Trust offer equality of access to our services, where our non-judgemental team welcome, listen and effectively unpack the issues and problems relating to benefits, welfare rights, money management, housing issues, advocacy, legal advice, family law, mental health support, education, training and employment.

 

 

 

Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL)

VAL helps people in local communities to change their lives for the better, through direct service delivery and by supporting the local voluntary and community sector.

Originally formed as the Leicester Council for Social Services in 1965, our work has constantly evolved with the times, but always kept local people at its heart.

 

 

 

 

UAVA Ltd

United Against Violence and Abuse. UAVA are three local specialist providers of domestic abuse and sexual violence services – they are Women’s Aid Leicestershire Ltd, FreeVA and Living Without Abuse.

UAVA provides co-ordinated domestic and sexual violence services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for any male or female over the age of 13. Additional services are available for Leicester City residents.

 

 

 

 

Zinthiya Trust

Offers support to women and families from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as those who may have found their way into crime, sex work, long term unemployment or those that are homeless or victims of domestic violence.

Zinthiya Trust provide practical support to help people to improve their financial position. This includes information, advice and guidance with energy, money, debt, and benefits issues.
