The Partners at Dodds Solicitors LLP are delighted to congratulate Samin Gangani who has been awarded the Brian Dodds Memorial Prize for 2022.

Samin has been recommended for the above prize for the best performance in the criminal law exams from Senate at Leicester University.

What is The Brian Dodds Memorial Prize?

Dodds Solicitors takes its name from one of its founding Partners, Brian Dodds.

Brian qualified as a Solicitor in 1974 after studying law at The University of Leicester. He is remembered amongst those who came into contact with him professionally as a fearless and persuasive advocate successfully fighting what others would see as lost causes. He specialised in representing children and young persons in criminal and care proceedings.

Brian died on the 7th December 2005 after a brave and protracted fight against motor neurone disease.

After his passing, the Partners wanted to set up a memorial prize to honour Brian and recognise the contribution made by our late Senior Partner in the practice of criminal law to the best performing student in the crime exam at The University of Leicester where Brian himself studied. The Brian Dodds Memorial prize has now been sponsored since 2007.

Once again, a huge congratulations to the 2022 winner Samin Gangani!

We wish him every success for the future career.
